We build the place where a company decides what it requires.

Fredrick Falck Skogstad

Product Owner, AlonSkills

Every company can say exactly what it pays each of its people. Almost none can say what it requires in return, or who decided it. Not because anyone failed. There has never been a place where that decision could be taken, so it never was.

The company acts on the requirement anyway. In hiring, in pay, in training, in every restructuring. It acts on something it never decided. We build the model where that decision is taken and kept, and where every requirement carries the name of the person who approved it, the source it came from, and the date.

Built by Already On

AlonSkills is built by Already On AS, a Norwegian company. We are also behind AlonLearn, the learning platform used by organizations including the Norwegian Nurses Organisation, Quality Norway, KGK Academy and DFØ, with more than 120,000 registered users.

That is our delivery history, not the AlonSkills customer list, and we print the difference rather than let you find it. Two anchor customers are shaping AlonSkills now. One is restructuring. The other has to defend how it grades work, in public. Everything on this page runs today.

Where we stop

We model what a role requires. We never model what a person is. No individual assessment, no gender data, no personal identifiers, no scoring of an employee against the role they sit in. The product works at role, position and organization level, and it stops there.

The join to human beings happens in your own HR system, through the position code. The position exists on both sides. The person exists on one. The chain ends at grade: there is no salary entity anywhere in the model, because grade is where a statement about work turns into a statement about money.

This reads like a limitation. It is a decision, taken and recorded. A vendor that says what it will not build can be believed about what it does.

Why Norway first

Norway is the hardest room in the world in which to be right about a job. A union representative is in that room by law and not by invitation, the duty to map and publish pay work is a statute rather than a policy, and equal value is settled by an overall assessment weighted on what the work requires, with no statutory weights.

There is nothing to submit except the reasoning itself. A requirement that survives that room survives a softer one. Norway is where this gets proved, not where it stops.

Bring one role.

We tell you what it requires, more precisely than you could describe it yourself, built from your own strategy, regulations and targets. Forty-five minutes, no preparation.
